CSA-EUR Dutch Teachers

Lili Vinther

About Me

My name is Lili Vinther. I have been a professional Dutch (and English) teacher for over 15 years. I teach at all levels, from absolute beginner to very advanced, and am a trainer for all official exams, including the Inburgeringsexamen and the NT2 exams. I like to develop lesson materials for my students to practise. I love to travel, read, listen to music, watch films, and cook for gatherings of family and friends - the larger, the better. I drink green tea all day. And, sometimes, I indulge in silly video games.

Why am I a Dutch Teacher?

I love to engage with people from all over the world and to help them express themselves in Dutch. Learning a language is about connecting with other people. Grammar is just a tool - the main goal is communicating. When I watch a student summon up their courage and begin to speak Dutch, I sometimes get tears in my eyes (while smiling happily). Also, it is such fun to discuss the weird Dutch habits and culture with my students! I hope that learning the language and the culture helps them to feel at home in their new country, far away from home.

Eric van der Snoek

Teacher at CSA since September 2019

About Me

My name is Eric van der Snoek, born and raised in The Netherlands. I started teaching Dutch at CSA-EUR in 2019 as I realise that it can sometimes be hard to learn a new language when you live in a foreign country. In The Netherlands you can easily stick to English in most places. However, when you really want to get involved with your Dutch friends, in-law family-members, colleagues or even clients speaking Dutch will be very helpful. Apart from teaching at CSA-EUR, I am part-time working as a physician at a small hospital in Utrecht.

Why am I a Dutch Teacher?

My goal as a teacher at CSA-EUR is to teach Dutch for use in daily life that can be practised starting from the first day you come across the new words and phrases. Learning a language should be above all a real joy for those that realise that connecting to others by sharing the same language is a powerful thing.

Adrian Wong

About Me

My name is Adrian Wong, and I am working as a Finance Consultant. I started as a (Mandarin) language course student at CSA-EUR, became an Active member for several years, and I also did a Board year as the Treasurer. I grew attached to this association, that is why I became a Dutch teacher as well, as I like to meet new people and see people grow. I have 2,5 years of teaching experience, and I taught many classes on beginner and intermediate levels, both online and physical. I like to be as interactive as possible, while at the same time keep it fun. Apart from working and teaching, I am Audit for CSA-EUR as well, and I like to go to the gym, play tennis, eat out, and hang out with friends.

Why am I a Dutch Teacher?

I like to teach and see progress in my students! Sharing a language and being able to communicate with each other is a beautiful thing, and for me it is very rewarding if I am able to contribute to that.
